About Juanita Kay

Attorney Juanita Kay has the experience, determination and tenacity to fight for your rights.  She has handled thousands of cases, which include DUI’s, drug cases, assault and battery, sex crimes, burglary, hit and run, domestic violence, child molestation and violent crimes. She is also fluent in Spanish.

While in law school, Juanita worked at the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, in Portland, Oregon, as a certified law student working on the trial team. While there, she took several misdemeanor cases to trial which allowed her to gain first-hand experience of the different stages of court proceedings and learn the ins and outs of a criminal trial, from the perspective of the prosecution. For Juanita, working in the courtroom was a turning point in her career because that is when she developed a sense of passion and developed new enthusiasm for criminal law and the justice system.

After finishing law school, Juanita joined The Law Offices of Earl Carter & Associates and then opened up her law practice in 2016.  However, unlike her earlier career, Juanita decided to switch sides and represent those accused of a crime and in need of help. Since then, she has worked as a zealous defense attorney. She is always well prepared and will fight to get each client the best possible result.
